We will explain exactly how sheaves of vertex algebras are related to various structures encoded by a class of Lagrangians. As an application, we will construct a family of vertex algebras with base the Barannikov-Kontsevich moduli space. To some extent, the talk will be a mathematical version of the two relatively recent papers by Kapustin and Witten.
