Abstract:
I will consider a topological sigma model for a target space equipped by a generalized complex structure (as defined by Hitchin). Complex structures and symplectic structures are particular examples of generalized complex structures. Respectively, they correspond to the topological A-model and the topological B-model. In the closed case, the partition function is computed in genus zero and topologically trivial maps. In the open case, an example of a generalized complex structure, obtained as a deformation of an ordinary complex structure by a holomorphic Poisson bi-vector field, is considered in more details, and the Kontsevich formula for a non-commutative $*$-product is recovered.Date: Thursday, November 2, 2006
