In this talk I will outline the definition of the directed Fukaya category of a partial Lefschetz fibration. Such categories arise as essential ingrediants in the formulation of the homological mirror symmetry conjecture. I will go on to describe a way to decompose these categories by deforming and degenerating the fibration. If time permits, I will illustrate an instance of homological mirror symmetry utilizing the developed techniques.
