Abstract:

I will discuss some results on canonical Kahler metrics (such as Kahler-Einstein metrics, constant scalar curvature metrics) and their associated energy functionals in Kahler geometry. I will briefly explain how these results relate to the conjecture of Yau-Tian-Donaldson on the equivalence of the existence of constant scalar curvature Kahler metrics and notions of stability.
