Quantum modular forms were introduced by Zagier. We will discuss Zagier's Quantum Modularity Conjecture for the Kashaev invariant of a knot, its connections with number-theory (joint with Zagier), complex Chern-Simons theory (joint with Dimofte), Quantum Teichmuller Theory (joint with Kashaev) and its proof for the 4₁ knot (joint with Zagier).
