In this talk, I will discuss progress in our understanding of contact submanifolds in higher-dimensions. I will present, in any dimension, the construction of contactomorphic smoothly isotopic contact submanifolds which are not contact isotopic. This resolves one of the main questions we had in the higher-dimension, providing rigidity for contact submanifolds. In the end, I will introduce other works in progress and lines of future development. This talk is based on my work with J. Etnyre.
