Abstract:
For rank 1 non-positvely curved geodesic flow, a potential function is said to have pressure gap if its pressure on the singular set is strictly smaller than that on the entire phase space. A result by Burns, Climenhaga, Fisher, and Thompson established a compelling link between the pressure gap property and the uniqueness of equilibrium states. In this talk, I will discuss related results on obtaining pressure gap for certain Holder potentials that are constant on singular sets.Date: Tuesday, January 23, 2024
