We will discuss equilibrium states for a class of non-uniformly expanding skew products. In particular, we will see how a family of fiberwise transfer operators can be used to define conditional measures along the fibers of the product. We will outline a proof that the pushforward of the product's equilibrium state onto the base is itself an equilibrium state for a Hölder potential defined via these fiberwise transfer operators.Date: Tuesday, March 05, 2024
